Contemporary Piano

The pianist and composer, John Bickerton

Recorded in the year 2000, these contemporary piano performances were licensed and sold through John’s business at the time – The UniqueTracks Production Music Library.  They were recorded as background soundtracks and exhibit multiple piano styles including Contemporary Classical, Pop, Gospel, New Age.  UniqueTracks was a stock music library that licensed music to media companies and corporations.  These tracks, originally part of an album titled Pianoscapes,  were some of the most popular tracks in the UniqueTracks library and have been used in hundreds of productions.

After UniqueTracks closed, the tracks were released as Heartland on the Simple Harmonic Motion label.

Home is where the heart is. John Bickerton tells us a life story that is like a mirror to each of us. The piano sounds in this neoclassical album work wonders. Heartland is a cinematic solo piano story with a hidden nostalgic tension, like a character in a movie who moves away from problems to a new life remembering their past and what they had pass through. ”Nagamag.com
